Job Description & Qualifications:
Provide leadership, supervise, and prioritize development activities and staff for an application area. Design processes and metrics for functional area. Work closely with architects to ensure proper system design. Ensures highest quality implementations from design through QA to production. Assist multiple team members and other project leads in the day-to-day activities related to project work. Perform forward thinking evaluation and research for new packages and releases.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Anticipates hardware and software design needs. Reviews packages and products to determine viability as solutions and fit for other areas.
Reviews technical design and specifications for business and functional requirements fit.
Supervises team developing (coding), implementing and maintaining tools/applications. Ensures team members are trained and cross-trained in areas of expertise
Evaluates, researches and makes recommendations for upgrades, patches and new functionality.
Ensures root cause analysis, metrics, and control processes and employed for defect resolution.
Leads development activities for a business application.
Assigns and plans resources for projects and RTS.
Manages resource expenses and capitalized labor budget and actuals.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details:
Ability to find innovative ways to present data in a very visual method using SAP BI 4.1 technologies
Provide expertise within the SAP BI space and associated business processes and systems.
Keep up to date with BI industry trends and leading practices.
Translate end-user requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
Develop and drive the implementation of BOBJ leading practices.
Assist the IT Business Applications Team in the creation of standards, procedures, and documentation for BI solutions.
Perform program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing.
Support enhancement of reports and queries, and ongoing support tasks.
Collaborate with System Administrators in the production support of the SAP BOBJ and SAP BW platform.
Support all phases of IT projects that include BI components, processes, and deliverables.
Support and troubleshoot production systems as required, optimizing performance and resolving production problems.
Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BOBJ development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Recognize impacts of change and ensure appropriate due diligence is performed before making the change. Be thorough in testing solutions before implementing change to avoid rework.
Participate and contribute to our formal change management process, including following our structured approach to production changes and corresponding documentation.
Drive the BOBJ security model across the areas of infrastructure, data, and functionality. Look for the appropriate implementation of security policies within the BO repository.
Drive the integration of BOBJ 4.1 and the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) from a semantic layer, configuration, connectivity, and security standpoints.
Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive and proprietary information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Limit exposure to confidential data to a minimum number of individuals.
Strong working knowledge of SAP BI 4.1 tools including Design Studio, Dashboards, Lumira, WEBI, Explorer, Analysis for OLAP/Office
At least 6 years of combined experience in SAP BOBJ XI R2 or XI 3.x or 4.x
Strong experience on with self-service visualization capabilities using Lumira
2+ years of interfacing experience with SAP BW 7.x
Knowledge of HANA Models and how to consume data into BO 4.1 tools using best practices and standards
Solid experience creating advanced and complex BOBJ reports, as well as writing complex freehand SQL for data validation and reporting
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
