Job Description & Qualifications:
Manage pricing matrices for a specified Line of Business. Manages pricing of products within Line of Business.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Oversee the maintenance of pricing matrices.
Analyze sales trends and transactions to ensure pricing meets all market levels.
Oversee the monitoring of matrices and product files, ensuring newly added products are properly grouped and priced
Assist Purchasing Director in negotiations and collaborate with key endorse to streamline cost files.
Oversee creation and validation of Rebate Groups for vendors, streamlining rebate process.
Train pricing and purchasing personnel in the use of the buy matrix.
Sign off on pricing changes and change customer price class.
Advise on product file structure and content necessary for all group mapping, rebating and customer specific pricing. Nature and Scope
Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience.
Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. Work Environment
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or Statistics required; Advanced degree highly desirable; MBA preferred.
Prior experience in retail/wholesale, merchandising, consumer product goods, or a consulting/ project management role in a corporate environment; Prior experience in B2B or B2C pricing role highly preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint; Strong experience with SAP, SQL, SAS, R, and Tableau.
Strong financial acumen including extensive understanding of statistical methods and modeling.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to accumulate, evaluate, and generate insights from disparate data sources. Robust database knowledge including direct experience in the efficient management and analysis of large and complex data sets desired.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and problem-solve creatively under deadlines.
Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively articulate and write convincing executive level presentations.
Ability to build relationships and partner with cross-functional teams at all levels across the organization and influence decision making without authority.
Track record of taking ownership and driving results; Ability to learn quickly and work independently; Inherent intellectual curiosity.
