Job Description & Qualifications:

Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinates project team from inception through completion and execute corporate planning and project management.

  • Develops new systems; techniques and procedures for automated planning systems, reporting, issue resolution, risk management and budget tracking.

  • Acts as senior representative for Project Management Center of Excellence.

  • Reviews plans and schedules of other participating functions for compliance with the master schedule; resolves scheduling and inter-functional conflicts.

  • Participates in or leads daily, weekly or monthly meetings. Reviews to track and report project status, identifying deviations or adverse trends. Interfaces with upper management.

  • Reviews project business case to ensure accurate costs and internal labor are identified. Ensures approval of business case and present to governing body.

  • Mentors, supports and develops associates and processes within the project management area.

  • Supports internal department training through instructional opportunities. Nature and Scope

  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.

  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to results expected. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority. Work Environment

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass the Drug Test

  • Must pass the Background Check

  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details:

We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master (SM) who will be responsible forguiding the scrum team’s development. He/She will create strong working relationships and influence across product management, engineering, software development, and other functional groups to execute the strategy for our E-Commerce business unit.

Job Description:

As the scrum master, your main responsibility will be to as the servant leader to the scrum team and help others outside the scrum team understand how agile is being applied to develop products for EBiz. You will support a scrum team and help the team embrace and use the principles of agile to drive efficient and effective software development. You will also provide the example for others to follow as a best practice for product development beyond software.

  • Facilitate the Scrum process, enforce time boxes, support the team

  • Lead backlog grooming sessions and other scrum-related meetings

  • Create an environment conducive to team self-organization

  • Resolve impediments and shield the team from external distractions

  • Capture empirical data and provide forecasts, velocity, backlog, etc.

  • Provide Project budget tracking and PMO reporting

  • Educate the team on agile and scrum methods and promote continuous improvement

  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development

  • Travel up to 10% of the time both US and global

  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog

Things your great at:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+years’ experience as a Scrum Master or relatedexperience in an agile environment

  • 5 + years’ experience as a Project Manager

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to facilitate and coach development team on requirements and effort estimation

  • Ability to drive accountability and agile adoption

  • Software development and/or requirements management skill set

  • A minimum of 2 years of software development experience, specifically with agile, extreme programming, or similar approach

Desired Characteristics/Skills:

  • Scrum master certification

  • Knowledge of SAFe a plus

  • Demonstrated mastery of the interactions and dynamics in Agile teams.
