Job Description & Qualifications:

Job Summary

Responsible for development and execution of email marketing campaigns and other omni-channel marketing campaigns.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Plans, builds, optimizes, and tracks compelling and effective email marketing campaigns. Executes email campaign workflows from start, managing to established deployment dates.

  • Compiles performance reporting and engagement dashboards for all campaigns.

  • Structures and implements marketing tests to drive optimization (e.g., test creative copy, audience segments, etc.).

  • Works with product management and sales to develop a database of insights and hypotheses. Collaborates with cross-functional teams throughout email marketing execution.

  • Leverages and implements additional email and landing page optimization tools (i.e. Litmus, Optimizely) to further enhance email experiences.

  • Manages email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with opt-in laws and regulations.

  • Works with teams to translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns within marketing automation and CRM systems.

  • Identifies issues and engages system support and appropriate team members as necessary.

Nature and Scope

  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.

  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to results expected. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.

Work Environment

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8 - 20 pounds).

  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass the Drug Test

  • Must pass the Background Check

  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Campaign.

  • Experience with email and production platforms; Silverpop/IBM Marketing Cloud,Infusionsoft, Marketo, and Pardot preferred.

  • Experience in A/B and mult-ivariate test design, execution and analysis. Experience creating nurture of “drip” email campaigns.

  • Experience with HTML and CSS including mobile responsive design preferred.

  • Experience with JavaScript.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
