Job Description & Qualifications:

Job Summary

Direct a team of Security Managers and Security Engineers. Lead, envision and set security standards for the organization. Effectively coordinate and manage expectations of key business and IT leadership across the enterprise.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Manages and oversees all aspects of Information Security for the enterprise.

  • Manages and directs Security Managers and vendors who safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property and computer systems, as well as the physical safety of associates and visitors.

  • Assumes leadership of all internal dedicated security functions - patching, anti-virus, intrusion prevention, CERT response, log file monitoring, cross division security coordination, systems operational security testing, rule set analysis, threat detection and adaptation, as well as advent security related functions.

  • Manages large scale network security operations and management, including experience using and monitoring SIM and SEM applications.

  • Manages and understands all aspects of normal business operations from an accounting perspective, personally responsible for cost center financials and performance with a large expense footprint (MM).

  • Oversees incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches, and assists with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary.

  • Mentors and fosters talent on an on-going basis.

Nature and Scope

  • Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.

  • May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professionals IC's at the senior or technical advisor level.

Work Environment

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass the Drug Test

  • Must pass the Background Check

  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 9+ years experience in related field including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.

Stuff you’re great at:

  • Experience in tailoring and implementing security frameworks and platforms in a large (>$1B) environment.

  • Formulating a Breech Incident Response Plan including tabletop exercises with senior leadership.

  • At least, eight (8) + years’ experience in Information Security as well as board and executive leadership experience

  • Migrating applications and services to the cloud, including technology and contractual considerations.

  • Experience in working with PCI/SOX compliance and regulatory program requirements.

  • Proven project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple concurrent projects

  • Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to write with purpose, clarity, and accuracy

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field with a CISSP certification.

Experience that might be useful but isn’t required:

  • You have evolved a company from a custom security posture to a mainstream security framework

  • You have operated a multi-layer, defense-in-depth program, using advanced threat analytics and big data techniques

  • You have been a great partner to an infrastructure services team

  • Sound judgment and decision making skills, with a ‘hands on’, problem solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents
