Job Description & Qualifications
Responsible for building relationships and developing plans to increase sales and profitability for accounts in the government sector. Identify and qualify government sales opportunities. Drive sales by creating, executing, and communicating business plans to grow government sales for HD Supply. Provide training to the regional sales force regarding locating leads for government projects as well as government requirements for sales contracts.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Acts on leads and makes initial contact with potential customers for project work associated with military and government stimulus funds. Follow up reporting to determine percentage of sales captured.
Develops, maintains, and improves relationships with businesses of diverse-ownership who contract to do work for the government.
Establishes connectivity with state and local government to secure contracts for new construction and/or remodels.
Conducts sales force training on government sector to include ride-alongs, government requirements for contracts, and project hand-off to OSR's for completion.
Serves as SME in region for working government bids and ensuring quotes are processed in a timely manner.
Identifies customer product needs and coordinates the execution of orders through the local Outside Sales Representative.
Communicates with other businesses, sharing leads, and partnering on projects.
Nature and Scope
Performs full range of standard professional level of work that typically requires processing and interpreting more complex, less clearly defined issues. Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve. Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

As an Outside Sales Territory representative you will be responsible for selling MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) supplies along with products to new and established portfolios of Government/Institutional customers to maintain and drive sales. This B2B sales representative is responsible for an established portfolio of customers to maintain and drive sales. This position offers a competitive base salary plus sales incentive bonus. An i-Pad, cell phone and monthly expenses are included.
Job overview: An HD Supply Facilities Maintenance Sales Representative is responsible for profitably growing sales to achieve yearly goals. You will serve as a consultant for current core and emerging industries; responsible for retaining and growing existing accounts. This sales representative position has infrequent overnight travel and the territory will be comprised of local business customers.
Sales experience with Government/Institutional B-B sales.
3 or more years business to business (B2B) field sales experience preferred.
Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial and HVAC product lines preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel and SalesForce.com, or similar CRM.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote position.
Candidate will cover South Charlestion (Hilton Head area), Savannah, Brunswick, Statesboro, GA Territory.
