Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Analyze and translate business information into technical requirements; perform requirements gathering, design, build, test, and documentation activities for packaged software applications; Act as the functional lead in the following SAP modules: financial posting and bookings, Order-to-Cash (OTC), sales & distribution, direct store delivery, 3rd party order process, material management, production planning, and integration; work under the direction of a project manager as part of a team to deliver large-scale business solutions or enhancement projects; and lead a team to complete the configuration of a solution for an entire business function or process.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Lead discussions to gather detailed requirements from business users for whole business processes and/or functions on approved projects and enhance existing projects using HD Supply business analysis techniques;

  • Lead the design and development for whole business processes and/or functions on approved projects and on enhancements to existing projects;

  • Approve designs by junior members of a project team;

  • Perform program configuration and modification and set-up activities using specific HD Supply methodologies;

  • Identify impact to business resulting from newly configured or improved business functionalities and identify methods for addressing business change impacts;

  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business client

  • Prepare System Requirement Documents, functional specifications, and test and user documentation;

  • Prepare status reports to update the Project Manager on day-to-day activities and statuses;

  • Execute quarterly security audits and participates in internal and external audits' and

  • Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls in application security design and administration, including building roles, module and data permissions, and assigning roles to privileged users.

Nature and Scope

  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.

  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the results expected. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 8 years of work experience in offered or similar position analyzing and translating business information into technical requirements.

  • Will also accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field plus 6 years of experience in offered or similar position analyzing and translating business information into technical requirements.

  • Must have experience utilizing SAP ERP (SAP ECC), SAP S/4 HANA, including design and configuration of SAP OTC (Order-To-Cash) functions and integrations.

  • Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master’s (An applicant may qualify by presenting an academic evaluation stating that s/he has attained the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field).

  • Up to 20% domestic travel required.
