Job Description & Qualifications
Manage relationships with key vendors. Balance effective cost management, resourcing capacity, work efficiency, quality and risk coverage while maximizing benefits capture.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Manages and facilitates projects within the program.
Secures commitments from line managers and negotiates for resources with contractors and third parties.
Manages overall program budget, risks and mitigation planning.
Manages change and acceptance initiatives brought about by program activities.
Manages a core team of dedicated resources including time and task management, performance, development, goal and objective setting.
Develops policies and procedures.
Nature and Scope
Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details
10+ years experience in project and/or PMO environment
Experience within a matrix management environment.
Staff management experience preferred.
Familiarity with CMMI and/or ITIL preferred.
Formal project management training and/or PMI Certification highly preferred.
PMP and ScrumMaster Certification
Knowledge of SAP for and ERP or similar complexity implementations (Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday)
Knowledge of Wholesale Distribution
Knowledge of PMBOK
Significant knowledge of agile values, principles, and the Scrum and Safe frameworks.
At least one year experience in the role of Scrum Master or Iteration Manager diligently applying agile and Scrum principles and practices.
Knowledge of and experience with other agile frameworks (Kanban, Extreme Programming, etc.).
Experience demonstrating, and coaching others in, the areas of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
Excellent communication skills with experience engaging personnel at all levels of the organization.
Ideally, has supported multiple business functions: e.g. sales, marketing, finance, or supply chain.
