Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for providing support to the event planning team with tradeshows and special events. Coordinate event marketing projects with responsibilities that may include event location readiness, giveaways, communications and presentations

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Coordinates and assist with the marketing activities which can include direct mailing, printing, customer events, and trade shows.

Organizes the preparation of proposals and presentations for products or business using marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports. May create custom elements for the final packages.

Supports events, meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and organizing requirements; establishing contacts; developing and/or fulfilling on-site scheduled assignments; and, managing mailing lists to ensure event success

Prepares shipping to-do list and assists in the distribution and shipment of marketing materials to/from tradeshows and events.

Coordinates daily operations of the department and its various components, ensuring compliance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations

May perform other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

May modify processes to resolve situations.

Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies. Work typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.

Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Generally 5-7 years of experience in a related area of responsibility.
