We're seeking a Facilities Associate in Kent, WA.

HD Supply is in need a of Facilities Associate to perform skilled maintenance and repair of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems in accordance with established safety procedures. The successful candidate must havelight experience on electrical (including ballast), plumbing, HVAC, general handy man work Our associates work Monday through Friday and have weekends off! Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Perform skilled maintenance and repair of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and building systems in accordance with established safety procedures.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Maintains the physical appearance and operation of assigned facilities by completing and documenting plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interior/exterior finish repairs as directed in order to maintain a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for building occupants.

  • Maintains and repairs interior assets, including lighting, doors, flooring, furnishings, and work surfaces, as directed, to maximize the useful life of materials while providing a safe and comfortable workspace.

  • Monitors, operates, adjusts, maintains, and repairs building systems and equipment for assigned facilities.

  • Obtains vendor and contractor services in a financially and ethically responsible manner. Monitors vendor and contractor actions to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures and government rules and regulations.

  • Participates in space planning projects, including moves, resets, and associate support.

  • Responds to and documents the completion of building maintenance repairs as directed. Responds to all facility-related issues and emergencies. Assists as needed.

  • May estimate time and material cost projects.

  • May requisition new supplies and equipment.

Nature and Scope

  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.

  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

  • No travel required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass the Drug Test

  • Must pass the Background Check

  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED,strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in the design, use, repair, and maintenance of machines and tools.

  • Familiarity with major facilities systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, fire protection systems, plant control systems, FFUs, and plenum units.

  • Understanding of relevant company equipment safety policies and procedures.

  • Familiarity with general building maintenance operations.
