Job Description & Qualifications
First line of contact for users regarding point-of-sale system issues. Performs preliminary research and provides first call resolution when possible. Responsible for escalation to second tier support both within System Support and other IT departments. Troubleshoot personal computer software and hardware issues at associate's desk and via telephone. Troubleshoot printer issues at the corporate offices and network connectivity issues at associate's desk.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Acts as first line of contact for users regarding system issues.
Manages escalation to second tier support within System Support and other IT departments.
Administers first call resolution and initial research of issues related to supported systems.
Performs preliminary research and provides first call resolution.
Documents issues using call-tracking software and escalate to the proper second and third tier support.
Provides callers with updates on open issues according to agreed upon frequency.
Answers phones, voicemails, and emails as scheduled.
Nature and Scope
Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior co worker or supervisor.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details
Experience withExperience with EDI systems preferred.
Experience with procure to pay processes and applications preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience supporting application end-users, prioritizing issues and managing escalations.
Knowledge of software development and/or implementation methodology preferred.
Self-motivated with good time management skills.
Competent in MS Office Applications preferred.
